Garbage People Should Take Their LLM Junk and Go Away
"It's here to stay," well, no. Go "stay" somewhere else.

BookBub released these survey results recently and I wrote this whole big piece about the pipeline that brings indie authors into being LLM grifters and how that hurts the industry, poisons the well for everyone, and makes readers jaded.
But you know what?
It’s not worth spilling words towards these people anymore. If it wasn’t this grift, it would be another grift you’d infect the industry with. You’ve always made people sick, and you’ve always been about your own profiteering over the good of anyone else but yourself. Of course you’d become an LLM grifter. Of course you ‘need’ LLMs to come up with plot points, twists, character names or whatever else.
Why are you here? What is tethering you to publishing? Isn’t there something else you can be doing? You clearly aren’t passionate about books beyond some weird romantic ideal that you should be doing them. Aren’t there other people you can be scamming outside of readers? I hear dropshipping is still a common grift. Maybe bulk buying junk from AliExpress to resell as a handmade craft or something like that? I’m sure you can use that industriousness to figure out how to grift people out of money without further poisoning the already toxic waste dump of a well that is publishing, right?
There’s no point in being kind about this anymore.
Nobody needs you in publishing. You’re embarrassing everyone. Fuck outta here already.
Buy my latest goddamned book. I’m a human and I made it, and I hired nothing but humans for art and editing. It’s funny, weird and poignant. I don’t know.
